Artist Spotlight: Summer House Rules

Artist Nadia Berri had a studio at the now redeveloped SE1 and has back to Bow Arts to use our PSW- Project Space at the Rum Factory Studios for her current work with House Rules.

HOUSERULES Summer School is a free arts educational experiment taking place all around London for the entire month of July 2016.

HOUSERULES Summer School urges openness to new experiences and insights to be gained through communication between teachers and learners between different creative disciplines. It is about the pleasure of learning, collaborating, seeing and listening.

As Joseph Albers who taught at the Bauhaus as well as Black Mountain College put it “What counts here – first and last – is not so called knowledge of so-called facts, but vision – seeing […] Schauen as in (Weltanschauung)”.

HOUSERULES Summer School is a participatory, indeterminate and nomadic experiment, shaped and directed by all involved.
