Artist Spotlight: Victoria Burgher

Victoria has been involved with Bow Arts for a number of years starting as a studio holder at Bow Road, before discovering a passion for arts education.

Victoria began working as a volunteer, gaining valuable experience in the arts programmes our Education team offer to primary, secondary and special needs schools across London. She has gone on to be a key arts educator for Bow arts, leading workshops from after-school clubs and drop in days to term-long weekely sessions and Arts Award projects.

Victoria’s focus is usually 3D and materials based, working with young people to learn about sculpture and ceramics. She has particularly championed the rewarding nature of working with one of our key schools Phoenix, a special needs school based in Mile End.

Victoria’s work has been selected by guest curator Anj Smith for the 2016 Bow Open Show.
