Bow Arts is exceptionally well placed to deliver Public Art projects in the local and wider communities. We have a strong track record of successful work and are ideally placed to deliver meaningful public consultation and educational activity through our local education partnerships. Working with numerous public sector and commercial partners, we have provided complete solution packages; from initial creative concepts to realisation and installation. We specialise in community consultation, ensuring that work undertaken really does ‘add value’ to the area.

Example Brief - St. Paul’s Way Streetscape:

A project for London Borough of Tower Hamlets along St. Paul’s Way (E3), to address the poor state of the urban realm, refurbish the area, make it a more attractive place for residents, businesses and visitors, and establish it as an identifiable neighbourhood. Bow Arts was asked to look at how a meaningful aesthetic could be integrated into the streetscape, and to identify possible areas for artistic interventions & artworks.

Solution:

Planned reductions in road width (to create a self-enforcing 20mph roadway) created wider pavements. Areas of footway were then given over to planted areas and benches. To delineate these areas, artist Bhajan Hunjan designed and produced 10 granite bollards, which were accompanied by lamp columns, gateways and seating.
