Visions in the Nunnery

Opening Event -Friday 1st October 6-9.30pm

Visions in The Nunnery is an annual exhibition and series of events showcasing international moving image work by both emerging and established artists. Coordinated and curated by Tessa Garland and Cinzia Cremona, the exhibition features a variety of conceptual approaches and aesthetic choices. In addition to the exhibition, Visions in The Nunnery includes a programme of special screenings and events.

Critical Forum :
Sunday 3rd October 2-4pm
‘Moving Mountains – do moving image practices change the world?’ A discussion investigating how moving images mediate and effect our relationship with the world we live in.

First Thursday late night opening :
Thursday 7th October 7-9pm
as part of the First Thursdays scheme

Film screening :
Saturday 9th October 2-5pm
Place Memory II- A special event curated by south-west based arts collective, Mezzanine (www.mezz.info). Ideas around memory, and it’s association with place, will be explored during this afternoon of films, performance and drawing.

Live Performance Event :
Saturday 16th October 6.30pm till late
An exciting evening of performance and performance-related screen-based work curated by Cinzia Cremona, including a performance by special guest, Franko B.

Exhibition open: Friday – Sunday from 1pm to 5pm
